Liverpool got their Champions League campaign off to a perfect start as they managed to defeat Ajax 1-0. They did, though, require the help of an Nicolas Tagliafico own goal to get those three points.

Nonetheless, a win is a win and it will have been considered welcome considering the injury problems the Reds and Jurgen Klopp currently have to deal with at Anfield.

Indeed, the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Thiago Alcantara are all on the sidelines at the moment, which has arguably left Liverpool a little light in certain areas of the pitch.

However, the Merseyside outfit can not be accused of lacking players in the attacking department – just as bettors can not be accused of having a plethora of online baccarat casino options available to them – and it seems one of their men that struggles to get regular game time may have put his hat in the ring for more minutes in the future after his performance against Ajax.

Speaking to Radio 5 Live, Stephen Warnock hailed the performance of Takumi Minamino and felt the second-half substitute was better than Roberto Firmino when he came into the game.

The ex-Liverpool full-back praised the Japan international and believed the attacker was the main difference for the Reds in the second half.

“You can certainly see the difference in Minamino upfront,” Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live. “With the way he is holding the ball up and is linking up play.

“He has done better than Firmino did in the first half. Everything good that has happened so far in this second half has been in and around his hold up play and link-up play.

“It has allowed the midfield to press higher. It has then allowed the defence to come up 5 or 10 yards to stop that ball from coming over the top. What it has done is put Ajax players under pressure and it doesn’t allow a simple ball to feet or a ball over the top. Every pass they now make is under pressure.”

Whilst the result will have been important, the victory and the clean sheet will have done wonders for Liverpool’s confidence. Bettors can also improve their confidence in the casino choices they make when they visit, as they will be able to find the best ones available to them to conduct their gambling activities.

It has undoubtedly taken a knock in the past few days and weeks – lets not forget the 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa prior to the international break – but being able to manage to shut out the Eredivise giants takes some doing and one that would have been difficult even with Van Dijk in the side.
