Champions League Final:
As the Premier League season comes to an end, the reds have one last match ahead of them. On May 26th, Liverpool battle European giants Real Madrid in Kiev for the chance to be called Kings of Europe.
Preparations have begun with Jurgen Klopp expected to take the squad abroad in the coming days for some training.
The only absentee for the final is expected to be Emre Can who is nursing a back injury. Adam Lallana and James Milner are nearing full fitness and should be available for the game in Kiev. Milner missed the final game of the season with an injury.
Virgil Van Dijk has spoken about wanting to cap off the season with by making the most of the final.
Van Dijk: “We’re going to prepare very well. It’s going to be a tough game – we know they have so much quality. But we don’t need to forget that we have so much quality as well.
We need to be going to Kiev with a lot of confidence. We’re not there for no reason. We deserve to be there, so we need to show that, be brave and do our thing. Then we’ll see what’s going to happen.”
Liverpool’s U23 youngster Yan Dhanda is set to leave the club. The 19-year old will be out of contract in the summer and has reportedly agreed to join Welsh club Swansea following their relegation from the Premier League.
Fellow teammate Jordan Williams is also expected to leave the club this summer with his contract expiring.
