Danny Ings will be allowed to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window. The striker is in search of regular first-team football and has conceded he won’t find that at the club. Ings has been receiving interest from a number of clubs which include Spurs, Newcastle and West Ham. Burnley are also interested in the striker and can offer European football as the club have qualified for the Europa League.
Jurgen Klopp was keen on keeping the striker but has recognised his reasons for leaving. Ings currently has two years remaining on his current contract.
Liverpool have also yet to receive any offers for Daniel Sturridge who is set to leave the club this summer. As it stands, no club is willing to reach the Reds’ asking price of £15m.
Both Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi will have the chance to fight for first-team football during the pre-season tour in America. Klopp is expected to make a decision on both strikers once the USA tour has concluded.
New summer signings Fabinho and Naby Keira will report to Melwood on Monday. Both midfielders could feature in Liverpool’s first friendly against Chester. It has been confirmed the reds will pay RB Leipzig £52m after the German side qualifies for the Europa League.
