Mohamed Salah scored in Egypt’s 2-1 defeat against Saudi Arabia. Reports are also emerging that he is considering quitting the national team. Salah has been furious with the Egyptian FA as he believes he has been exposed by them with pictures of him with the Chechnya leader. Salah’s agent has also been furious with the actions of the Egyptian FA having sent a number of cryptic tweets.

Jordan Henderson played the full 90 minutes on Sunday as England thrashed Panama 6-1. Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold join Simon Mignolet and Dejan Lovren in the last-16 of the World Cup. Lovren came on as a second half substitute in Croatia’s 2-1 victory against Iceland. Having topped the group, they will face Denmark in the last-16 on Sunday.

Roberto Firmino’s Brazil and Sadio Mane’s Senegal will have to wait until the final group stage match to confirm their place with a win being enough to secure a spot in the last 16. Firmino is expected to start from the bench as Tite will name an unchanged side for the third straight game.

Club News

Danny Ings will be allowed to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window. The striker is in search of regular first-team football and has conceded he won’t find that at the club. Ings has been receiving interest from a number of clubs which include Spurs, Newcastle and West Ham. Burnley are also interested in the striker and can offer European football as the club have qualified for the Europa League.

Jurgen Klopp was keen on keeping the striker but has recognised his reasons for leaving. Ings currently has two years remaining on his current contract.

Liverpool have also yet to receive any offers for Daniel Sturridge who is set to leave the club this summer. As it stands, no club is willing to reach the Reds’ asking price of £15m.

Both Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi will have the chance to fight for first-team football during the pre-season tour in America. Klopp is expected to make a decision on both strikers once the USA tour has concluded.

New summer signings Fabinho and Naby Keira will report to Melwood on Monday. Both midfielders could feature in Liverpool’s first friendly against Chester. It has been confirmed the reds will pay RB Leipzig £52m after the German side qualifies for the Europa League. Keira has reportedly chosen the iconic number eight shirt which has been vacant since Steven Gerrard left the club.
