Champions League Final:

After weeks of anticipation, Liverpool finally face Real Madrid in the Champions League Final.

Two European heavyweights battle for the right to be crowned Kings of Europe.

The reds are expected to have a fully fit squad with Emre Can and James Milner deemed fit to play.

Ahead of tonight’s game, Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media for his final press conference:

Klopp: “The CL final is really big. You have a lot of things to do in the preparation. It’s about being cool, calm. After 2013 I knew I wanted that opportunity again. These boys have given me the chance again. I am responsible for the defeats, the players are responsible for the wins. That’s how I see it.

We have the best bench that we’ve had for weeks. We’re as fresh as we can be. Fitness will not be an issue. For sure we need a bit of luck.”

Questions have also been asked as to whether Mohamed Salah will be fasting prior to the game due to Ramadan. Klopp added: “Religion is private, but he’s full of power.”

Liverpool’s captain Jordan Henderson spoke to the media ahead of the clash against Madrid.

Henderson: “It is in the DNA of Liverpool to win trophies. We are going in the right direction to do that. We have done fantastically well to get to this point. We want to be remembered for winning this trophy.”

Ticket Issues:

A handful of fans are unable to travel to Kiev after their flights were cancelled. Around 650 fans were scheduled to depart for Kiev through World Choice Sport. However, the company had announced they were unable to fulfil the flights due to logistical issues in Kiev. Liverpool have announced they will refund supporters who had bought their tickets through the club.

Transfer News:

Jurgen Klopp has identified Lyon’s Nabil Fekir as the replacement for Philippe Coutinho and talks could happen as soon as next week. Fekir’s future has been in doubt with the French club with the reds in pole position to sign the attacking midfielder.
