Also, the Kop won’t need to be reminded of how Lopetegui’s team destroyed them 3-0 at Molineux a few weeks ago, but Wolves and their 18 goals no longer retain the title of the worst attacking team in the Premier League; that unwelcome honour now belongs to Everton (17).
That astounding win for Wolves came after the visitors had drawn 2-2 at Anfield in the third round of the FA Cup before losing 1-0 in the replay thanks to Harvey Elliott’s screamer, and a similar piece of individual brilliance could yet again prove decisive on Wednesday.

The stage is set for Klopp’s squad to return to form at the Anfield fortress with Konate possibly joining a Liverpool backline that is once again proving difficult to break down – for Premier League clubs at least.
The Merseyside giants can’t expect to generate a tonne of opportunities against a tenacious Wolves team, but one flash of brilliance from their difference-makers might be decisive, and there shouldn’t be a replay of the crushing defeat they suffered at Molineux a few weeks ago!

Wolves have shown quality to defeat big sides, but at Anfield it’s really hard to bet against Liverpool. Even after that Real Madrid game!
So perhaps it is best to expect Liverpool to win, even if Wolves find their way to the scoresheet!
